Data collected

When you contact us by email or through booking platforms, we process: first and last name, email address, stay dates, group composition and exchanged messages.

Purposes & legal basis

• Answering your requests and managing your booking (contract performance);
• Complying with legal obligations (accounting, tax, tourist tax);
• Measuring site audience in aggregate form (legitimate interest).

Retention

Booking data: 5 years after the stay. Accounting records: 10 years. Contact emails without follow-up: 3 years.

Recipients

Data is strictly limited to the editor and its technical subprocessors (host, email provider, Airbnb / Booking.com when the reservation is made there). No data is sold.

Your GDPR rights

You have a right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. To exercise them: contact@chaletlescochettes.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the French CNIL (cnil.fr).

Cookies

This site uses no advertising or third-party analytics cookies. Only cookies strictly required for technical operation may be set; these do not require consent.

Booking

A booking is confirmed upon receipt of a deposit of 25% of the total stay. This deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation, for any reason.

Balance

The balance (75%) is due no later than 60 days before arrival. For bookings made less than 60 days before arrival, the full amount is due at the time of booking.

Cancellation by the guest

• More than 60 days before arrival: the 25% deposit is retained.
• Less than 60 days before arrival: the full stay remains due.

We strongly recommend taking out cancellation insurance.

Security deposit

A security deposit is required on arrival and refunded after the check-out inspection, minus any damage or additional costs.

Capacity & house rules

The chalet hosts 12 adults + 2 babies (up to 15 adults on exceptional request). Any unauthorised excess may lead to immediate termination of the stay, with no refund.

Bookings via Airbnb or Booking.com

For bookings made through these platforms, their own terms and cancellation policies apply as a priority.
