3 Valleys lift pass: prices, areas and how to choose

The 3 Valleys is 600 km of linked pistes, the largest ski area in the world. Staying in Le Praz, the question comes up on the first morning: Courchevel pass or 3 Valleys pass? Here is how to decide.

Two passes, two uses

The Courchevel pass covers the Courchevel-La Tania sector, around 150 km of pistes, plenty for beginners or a family staying close to the resort. The 3 Valleys pass adds Méribel, Val Thorens, Les Menuires and Saint-Martin, and makes the big day-long traverses possible.

  • —Three or four days, beginners: Courchevel pass
  • —Full week, confident skiers: 3 Valleys pass
  • —Children in morning ski school: Courchevel is usually enough
  • —One big tour planned: Courchevel pass plus a day extension

Indicative prices for 2026-2027

As a guide, expect around €70 per adult day for Courchevel and €85 for the 3 Valleys, with clear savings from six days (roughly €380 and €450 for the week). Children under 5 and seniors over 75 generally ski free, and family rates apply from two adults and two children.

Where and when to buy

Buying online in advance avoids the first-morning queue and usually saves a few percent. Passes are reloadable, so keep your hands-free cards between seasons. We can also arrange passes before you arrive so they are waiting at the chalet.

Skiing from Le Praz

Le Praz has its own gondola straight up to Courchevel 1850 and the Forêt sector. One lift puts you on the mountain, and two links take you across to Méribel then Val Thorens. Skiing home to the village is via the Jockeys piste or through the forest, one of the finest descents in the resort.

A February tip

During school holidays head west early (La Tania, Méribel) and come back through Courchevel late afternoon: you avoid the Saulire queues at peak times.
