Luxury Chalet Rental in Courchevel: Rates, Seasons and Services

In Courchevel almost every listing uses the word luxury. Behind it the gaps are wide: materials, service, location, the quality of the welcome. Here is how to read a luxury chalet offer and understand what you are paying for.

What genuinely sets a luxury chalet apart

  • Authentic materials: stone, aged timber, exposed roof structure, a lauze roof — not timber cladding over concrete
  • Full exclusivity: the whole chalet for your group, with no shared areas
  • En-suite bedrooms rather than bedrooms sharing a bathroom
  • A real wellness area: heated pool, sauna, hammam
  • A personal welcome and a concierge you can reach during the stay

Rate ranges by season

For a high-end private chalet sleeping 10 to 12 in Courchevel, the orders of magnitude for winter 2026-2027 are as follows, before services:

  • Early December: from around €1,600 per night
  • Christmas and New Year: the highest weeks of the season
  • January: the best value of the winter
  • February half-term: high rates, book far ahead
  • March and late season: progressively lower, an excellent compromise

What is included and what is not

Always compare like for like. The headline price usually covers the chalet, energy and use of the wellness areas. Final cleaning, linen, tourist tax and above all staffed services are frequently extra.

The services worth paying for

  • A private chef: the best value of all for a group of twelve — no shopping, no washing up, restaurant-level dinners at the chalet
  • Transfers from Geneva, Lyon or Moûtiers: no car hire and no mountain driving
  • A private ski instructor: a large time saving on lift queues
  • In-chalet massage: after three days of skiing, the best pleasure-per-euro
  • Childcare: it makes adult evenings possible

How to compare two chalets

Reduce the price to per night per person, then add equivalent services on both sides. Then check three concrete points: the real distance to the lift, the number of bathrooms, and whether capacity is stated in adults or in beds. A chalet advertised for 14 with two bathrooms is not comparable to one for 12 with four.

Chalet Les Cochettes

Completed in 2022 in Courchevel Le Praz, the chalet spans 330 sqm over three floors: 12 adults, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a 10 m indoor pool heated year-round, a cinema room, a games room, a central fireplace, an open kitchen with a Lacanche range, a heated ski room and a garage. Private chef, transfers, instructors and massages are arranged on request.
